Q&A's

We’ve compiled answers to our most frequently asked questions below. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out via our chat support or email us at hello@smugllama.com

We contract our members—writers, directors, editors, artists, and crew—to deliver creative and technical services such as storyboards, editing, sound design, VFX, and more. Every service is backed by industry-standard skills and the Smug Llama commitment to quality.

All services are carried out by vetted Smug Llama members. Our community includes experienced professionals across multiple disciplines. We match the right member (or team) to your project to ensure you get the right expertise.

You can do either. Many clients hire us for a single service—like storyboarding, color grading, or editing—while others work with us across the full production cycle. We’re flexible, so you only pay for what you need.

Once you brief us on your project, we’ll identify the best member(s) for the job and confirm timelines, costs, and deliverables. Work begins once you approve the plan, and you’ll have regular check-ins to track progress.

We take care of the vetting, contracting, and quality control, so you don’t have to. With Smug Llama, you get a trusted network of creatives who understand collaboration, deadlines, and storytelling—without the risks of going it alone. Also if there are any issues with supply we can reach out to another Member.
